I received an introduction to programming from my late father when he sat me in front of a Sharp MZ-800 computer with a BASIC interpretter. I was 8 years old at the time. I found it mesmerazing that just a few lines of text can make a machine do things. Over the years, as technology evolved, I've had the pleasure of learning and using several programming languages including BASIC, Assembly, Pascal, Java, Perl, C/C++, C#, and Objective-C. These days I mostly focus on C/C++, PHP, JavaScript, Python, and decent amount of bash scripting. I prefer to work in and deliver code for Linux-based environments, but I do not shy away from Windows either. I do have a passion and curriosity for languages, both of the spoken and computer variety.

For the past 15 years I have focused on industrial automation and removal of archaic processes using technology. Sensor fusion, data processing, artificial intelligence, and computer vision are all part of projects I deliver. I have participated in architecture, design, and development of large scale, geographically distribued, real-time, and mission critical systems. Some of the more innovative one include a rail inspection portal which collects hundreds of gigabytes in just few minutes and almost instantaneously generates actionable events from that data indicating where critical defects are located.
